They’re in their bathing suits all year long, so they’ve had more than enough time to learn what looks best on their bodies. Follow in their confident footsteps by trying out some of these beach beauty tips from actual swimsuit models:

1. Find a Swimsuit That Fits

Georgina Burke’s biggest piece of advice is to find a swimsuit that fits your #body type. Everyone looks good in different #things, so you need to try on as many different suits as you can before you purchase one. You shouldn’t stick to one style, because you never know which type will flatter you. That’s why you need to stay in the fitting room for as long as the workers will allow you.

2. Have a Coverup Handy

Lauren Chan believes that any woman who is too self-conscious to bare her whole #body should wear a sheer coverup or a crochet mini-dress. That way, she won’t have to be worried about her #weight and can focus on having fun. Chan also suggests buying a scarf to tie around your waist like a skirt, or to buy a high waisted bikini in the first place, so that more of your #skin is covered and you don’t feel overly exposed.

3. Wear Minimal Makeup

Erin Heatherton believes that minimal #makeup is the most flattering when it comes to the beach. She suggests wearing some tinted SPF to keep your skin protected and wearing waterproof #mascara. Anything more than that is overkill, because the water would wash it all off anyway.

That way, you won’t #look or feel bloated. Besides, it’s unhealthy to load up on too much sugar, so you’ll actually be doing your #body a favor in the long run.

7. Get Waxed Beforehand

Hannah Davis always gets waxed right before her trips to the beach. That way, she doesn’t have to worry about any embarrassing hairs sticking out of her swimsuit. If you’re always worried that you’ll miss an area shaving, then you might want to try heading to the salon for a bikini wax. The professionals will make sure that they don’t miss a spot.
