(VIDEOS) Phillip Phillips & Jessica Sanchez’s Last “American Idol” Performances

Rounding out the 11th season of “American Idol,” the final two contestants of Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez took the stage for one final time before a winner is named.

On Tuesday night’s (May 22) episode, Phillips and Sanchez went through three different rounds rocking out the final performance episode to win the hearts of America and the judges one last time.

The evening began with song selections from creator Simon Fuller. Up first, the 16-year-old songstress sang her rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing” while the 21-year-old jammer gave his version of Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me.”

During the second round, the former pawn shop employee gave his sexy take on Billy Joel’s “Moving Out” while Jessica sang Yolanda Adams’ hit “The Prayer.”

Finally, finishing off their third round were the songs that will be released as the crowned winner’s first single. For Sanchez, that was her tune “Change Nothing”, which the judges weren’t thrilled with. Randy Jackson was blunt with his opinion, saying, “”Let me be straight up, I did not love the song,” while Jennifer Lopez also gave her advice, explaining, “You have to be able to say to someone, ‘This is not me’, you can change songs. Those are your options as an artist.”

The final performance of the night could be described with the old saying “save the best for last” – as Phillips closed things out while getting a standing ovation for his tune “Home,” in which Jackson applauded and said, “Dude, I loved the song, I loved you, I loved the marching band, everything about that was perfect!”

Making the night even more performance packed, last season’s winner Scotty McCreery and Jason Derulo both took the stage.

So the actress and singer wore a very grown-up outfit to tonight’s Billboard Music Awards.

The 19-year-old defied her teenage years and sported a jacket-like creation from Jean Paul Gaultier that left little to the imagination.

The white outfit bared Miley’s slender legs as she posed on the red carpet.

The star also decided to forgo a bra and showed a lot of skin with the help of a plunging neckline.

Defying her teenage years: Miley teamed the grown-up ensemble with voluminous hair and smoky eye make-up

The LOL actress stuck to a neutral colour palette and teamed her designer dress with a pair of black and white striped peep-toe heels.

If the outfit wasn’t sexy enough, Miley styled her caramel tresses into bouncy, voluminous waves and chose smoky eye make-up with lashings of pink lipgloss.

Miley is currently in Las Vegas for the event after taking a trip to Miami with her mother Tish earlier this week.

He’s been riding the wave of hype thanks to his hot new single, and Justin Bieber delivered the goods on the 2012 Billboard Music Awards stage tonight (May 20).

The “Baby” hitmaker thrilled the crowd by singing “Boyfriend,” dressed in a white and yellow getup complete with neon lights.

During the middle of the track, Biebs broke down and performed an extended dance remix, showing off his constantly-improving moves.

Prior to his performance, Justin accepted the trophy for Top Social Artist, declaring, “First of all, I just want to say how much of a blessing it’s been the past three, four years, just growing up in front of everybody.”

“I want to thank all my fans, ’cause the Internet is where I got my start. I want to thank my boy [and manager] Scooter Braun for all he’s done. He’s more than just a manager to me. I want to thank Usher. … He takes the time to really care. I just want to say ‘thank you so much’ to my mom and my dad and to God. I could keep rambling forever. I just want to thank you so much. The “Kiss Kiss” hitmaker headed out to the MGM Grand Garden Arena venue in Las Vegas to give his fans some love ahead of the release of his forthcoming album Fortune.

Chris – who also won Top R&B Artist honors – sang “Turn Up the Music,” complete with fabulous dance moves, massive energy, and plenty of swagger.

The only slight letdown about the performance is that Chris seemed to be relying on a lip-synching track rather than hitting those notes live.

The crowd went wild as Eve delivered her verse from the 1999 single, while a shy Missy danced on stage in a cloud of smoke. Kimmy Blanco also rubbed elbows with Drita Davanzo of VH1’s “Mob Wives,” Juelz Santana, Cassidy, and Mr. Cheeks, who joined her on “The Jump Off.”

Chris Brown shows off his vocal selections, but he’s not the only star singer featured in the single, as Nas plays the role of the 29-year-old’s love interest and we love their chemistry (especially the kiss at the end)!

The “Super Bass” rapper shared her excitement for the release to her more than 11 million followers today, tweeting, “#RightByMySideVideo premieres TODAY!!!! May 16th on BET, FUSE, MTV Jams, MTV Hits, and mtvU, @ 6:56pm EST! Vevo @ 7pm.”

Miss Minaj debuted the video for “Starships” in April from her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded and the eccentric clip features her partying on the beaches of Hawaii. Her newest release, however, depicts a much more romantic side of the colorful diva.

Report: Demi Lovato Signs on as New Judge on “The X-Factor”

After a poorer than hoped for debut season, Simon Cowell is doing everything in his power to bring success to “The X Factor” in the States.

With reports last week telling that Britney Spears has filled a vacant judge slot on the Fox competition series, TMZ has seemingly confirmed that Demi Lovato will be grabbing a seat on the judge’s panel, as well.

According to TMZ sources, the “Skyscraper” singer has “officially singed her deal” as one of the replacements for ousted Season 1 judges Steve Jones, Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul.

The report adds that Miss Lovato will be present at the Fox Upfront taking place in New York City on Monday (May 14) – with it widely expected that Miss Spears will be in attendance, as well.

Donning 18 different outfits, Lady Gaga will try to boost The Simpson family’s eldest daughter’s spirits after she becomes a complete social outcast.

The 26-year-old super star said, “I play a bit of a slut. The apple doesn’t fall far from my artistic tree.”

In the show, the singer encourages Lisa and tells her it’s okay to be different and unique, while the show’s creator Matt Groening said, “Since the very beginning, I’ve always wanted to have on the most iconic personalities of our time, and she’s it. After a long and winding road, Jermaine Paul was announced the victor on NBC’s “The Voice” during Tuesday night’s (May 8 ) finale episode and will walk home receiving a recording contract with Universal Republic Records and $100,000 cash.

The hit singing competition has become one of the America’s highest rated television shows in which a group of four celebrity “coaches” including Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green choose contestants, then help them through the weekly singing competition for a live studio audience.

The former Alicia Keys back-up singer was overcome with emotion when announced the winner and performed his rendition of “I Believe I Can Fly.” He was a member of Shelton’s team and said “Thank you, man, for the opportunity and the chance,” adding that Shelton had boosted his confidence and meant more to him than he’d ever know after last night’s (May 7) performance. “God gave me you, bro. He gave me you.”

In other news, Justin Bieber performed his hit single “Boyfriend” on the show to an audience of screaming fans.
