The 30-year-old actress is up for the award for Favorite Movie Actress – Drama/Adventure for her work in Machete. She is up against Penelope Cruz, Zoe Saldana, her Machete co-star Michelle Rodriguez, and Rosario Dawson.
The Alma Awards honors Latinos in the entertainment field and will air on NBC on Friday (August 16).
