Jill Scott //
They’re suing her not performing services they contracted her for.
The record label, Hidden Beach, is an independent one and they claim when they took Jill on no one knew who she was and that the record label “poured its heart and soul into making poet and soul and R & N singer and songwriter Jill Scott a superstar.”
In October of 2009, however, Jill’s attorney said that she would “no longer perform recording services for Hidden Beach” . Even though, however, she had a contract with Hidden Beach to do three more albums with them.
Hidden Beach is saying they spent a lot of time, money and effort into making her who she is and cite things such as their securing a role in Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married” among other things.
Hidden beach wants some cash for their troubles.
