According to his lawyer, the lawsuit’s claims are without merit and they are looking to get the case dismissed.
Gordon is accused of giving Brown a “toxic cocktail” that rendered her unconscious on the night of January 31st. The documents claim that she suffered “brain damage” as a result after being found in the bathtub of her Georgia property. After being placed in a medically induced coma, she was moved to hospice where she passed away on July 26th.
Gordon’s attorneys have already denied that he gave her a toxic cocktail, but said that they all went out on the night that she was found in the bathtub. After reviewing video footage, he said that there was an argument with Brown and afterward, he changed clothes. He also claimed to try to wake her up and tried to perform CPR on her after she was found by a third party in their home.
His lawyers say that he didn’t try to marry Brown in order to control her finances or to benefit from the wealth she inherited from her mother. Gordon’s lawyer Jose Baez said, “The recent lawsuit against Nick is slanderous and meritless. Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it’s shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly. Nick has engaged in civil counsel and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously and expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy the most.”
