The “Monster’s Ball” star noted that he struggled to think he was “good enough for her” and finally just “blew it.”

Thornton explained, “She has one way she wanted to live her life and I had another way to live mine. I was just too insecure. I felt like the Phantom of the Opera hiding in the catacombs. People actually said that I didn’t deserve to be with her.”

“When you’re in a relationship, any two celebrities or whatever, you know, I think that puts on a lot of pressure. When Angie and I got married, during that time, I was more famous than she was to start with and then she becomes this big thing, it’s hard in these relationships.”

“We had a great marriage and I chickened out because I didn’t feel good enough. That’s all that happened. It was no big deal, we never hated each other,” he added.

The “Changeling” actress sported the same olive colored dress she was spotted in when entering the hotel looking very thin while she waved to cameras looking very thrilled about her engagement to mega-star and longtime beau, Brad Pitt.

Rumors are flying regarding the Jolie-Pitt wedding, which is being compared to the Royal engagement held in 2011. The largest betting company in Europe, Ireland’s Paddy Power, gave Versace 5-2 odds that the 36-year-old actress would choose the designer for her wedding dress.

“There is little doubt that the Brad and Angelina wedding will be the showbiz story of the year,” a Paddy spokesman said in an interview with E!. “With both the media and the public already speculating on every element of the wedding, we thought it was only fair that we offered our customers the chance to bet on it.”

Other hopefuls include Max Azria, Giorgio Armani, Elie Saab and British brand Amanda Wakeley.

Following rumors of a planned walk down the aisle sparked by their jeweler, the “Mr and Mrs Smith” co-star couple’s manager confirmed the news of Friday afternoon (April 13).

Of the left hand bling Jolie sported during her Wednesday outing at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Chinese Galleries private viewing, a rep for the jewelery told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement, “I can confirm that, yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt.”

Meanwhile, Pitt made mention of walking down the aisle earlier this year, divulging that his children have long pressured the pair to take the plunge.

“It means something to [the kids]. We will someday, we will. It’s a great idea. ‘Get mommy a ring.’ ‘OK, I will, I will,’” he told CBS News in an interview.

At the current time, no date for their walk down the aisle has been set – though it will no doubt be quite the spectacle when it does occur.

On when she wrote the In the Land of Blood and Honey script: “I wrote whenever I could, when the kids were asleep or in their classes. Halfway through some of the most horrific scenes, I’d hear, ‘Mommy, I need another story, I can’t go to sleep,’ and so I’d pause what I was doing and go tell happy stories about bunny villages. I studied a lot about the war, and watched a lot of documentaries.

On her kids knowing about her humanitarian work: “They know that mommy, on occasion, goes off to Libya or other places. I make them very conscious of the fact that there are a lot of people struggling through different things, and I don’t protect them from the fact that war isn’t a video game, it’s a very, very horrible thing.”

On the status of Kung Fu Panda 3: “We can say we are in discussions. Tigress is my alternate personality, especially with children. I love animation because you get to do things you don’t normally get to. For one, I could bring my kids and wear my pajamas, and hang out with Jen. And my character is just so badass.”

The 36-year-old actress discusses her upcoming directorial debut In the Land of Blood and Honey in the magazine.

Last weekend, Angelina made an appearance on 60 Minutes to discuss the film and her life. During the interview, she shared about the decision to make the movie in two different languages.

“We all spoke about every speech, every scene and made sure that it was right and true. So everybody helped to educate me and we all adjusted the script together,” Angelina said.

In the Land of Blood and Honey will hit theaters on December 23!

Here’s what the 36-year-old actress had to share:

“I always felt not traditionally beautiful. I have big features…as I get older I look like my mom. And I love my mom. You start to kinda put your lineage in line of the different things you are. I see the Native American in me I can see the German from my father’s side and you come to love the combination,” Angie said.

“As long as Brad [Pitt] thinks I’m beautiful…I wake up and I want to be a smarter person. But I feel like that’s certainly what I’m encouraging my girls to do,” Angelina continued.

Angie teared up when talking about her mother.

“My mother was a full-time mother,” Angelina said. “She didn’t have much of her own career, her own life, her own experiences … everything was for her children, I will never be as good a mother as she was. She was just grace incarnate. She was the most generous, loving – she’s better than me.”

Angelina also discussed negative tabloid stories.

“I don’t see those things. I don’t know who they are but I assume they’re not me. They’re not who I am. They’re not what I spend my day caring about. I find them quite shallow and often quite wrong.”

The 36-year-old actress was spotted out at Legoland on Tuesday with her kids!

Angelina’s partner, Brad Pitt, is promoting his latest film, Moneyball, in the U.S. and recently stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Brad dished that the Jolie-Pitt kids are “putting on the heat” for their parents to get married, although the couple has said they wouldn’t marry until it was legal for everyone in the country to wed.

Angelina “has made a name for herself as an actress who can easily handle action, drama and even directing,” while SJP “still makes most of her money off of Sex and the City” as well her successful line of fragrances, including Lovely, Covet, and NYC, according to the mag.

Coming in third was Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, who both earned $28 million, followed by Julia Roberts and Kristen Stewart with $20 million.

The 36-year-old actress brought four of her children to the shoot, and some even had to be shooed out of the frame for photographer Annie Leibovitz to get her shot, according to WWD.

Later this week, Louis Vuitton will post a teaser on its website of an interview with Angelina, in which she discusses her life-changing visit to Cambodia.

FYI: Angelina is wearing her own clothes in the shot, including one of her favorite Alto bags that she’s owned for years!

On if he plans to tie the knot with Angelina: “The kids ask about marriage. It’s meaning more and more to them. So it’s something we’ve got to look at.”

On raising their six kids: “Angie and I do everything we can to carve out some semblance of normalcy for them, to re-create the kinds of moments that were special for us. It’s not unusual for the kids to be covered in paint. We have mud fights. It’s chaos from morning until the lights go out, and sometimes after that.”

On the paparazzi: “We’re hunted. Our kids have to live behind a gate. Outside, there are people with cameras. But I’ll take the trade-off. I never knew I was capable of experiencing so much love.”

On spending time alone with Angelina: “There are no secrets at our house. We tell the kids, ‘Mom and Dad are going off to kiss.’ They go, ‘Eww, gross!’ But we demand it.”
