And even more hirsute arches headed skywards when it was learned that Fox, 47, was intending to marry the much younger club promoter, Omar ‘Slim’ White, 28.
So it’s with tiresome predictability that the news of their truncated engagement breaks today.
White, who is 19 years younger than the woman he intended to marry, claims that the age difference had nothing to do with the split.
He insists he was ‘only in it for love and it just didn’t work out. Even though she was older than me, the age difference didn’t play a part.’
But it seems, by his own admission, that musclebound White ended the relationship nearly eleven months after his Boxing Day proposal.
He told TooFab: ‘She’s a good woman, it’s just one of those situations where in life people outgrow each other. The immodest party man then added incongruously: ‘I’m highly intelligent, very wise.’
Before adding not so gallantly: ‘And one thing I hate is negativity and drama. I hate arguing, and I value communication no matter what the problem may be.’
‘So as in any relationship, tension can build up and I finally had to walk away.’
Fox, who was married to singer Christopher Harvest from 1998 to 2002 and dated 50 Cent, seems sanguine about the split. ‘I’m fine!’ she tweeted Thursday. ‘At work and being very productive! God has got me! As always!’
The actress, who imprinted herself on our consciousness in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill and the HBO hit comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm, has been keep busy with work lately.
She’s just finished the thriller, Dead End, and is currently hard at work on the set of So This is Christmas?
And she’s unlikely to be short of offers, as Vivica looked sensational when she stepped out in LA last week for the premiere of Puss in Boots in Westwood.
Wearing sky-scraping Louboutins and leather trousers with a cute Chanel inspired jacket, Vivica certainly showed White what he will be missing.
And with five films out next year, there will be plenty of distractions for the stunning actress.
