His wife Omarosa Stallworth performed CPR on the Oscar-nominated actor during the first scare and was able to resuscitate him. Unfortunately, Duncan remained hospitalized ever since.
Publicist Joy Fehily released a statement from Clarke’s fiancé saying the 54-year-old actor died Monday morning (September 3) in a Los Angeles hospital after nearly two months of treatment following the heart attack.
Joy continued that Stallworth “is grateful for all of your prayers and asks for privacy at this time,” adding, “Celebrations of his life, both private and public, will be announced at a later time.”
The towering actor appeared in dozens of films, including box office hits including “Armageddon,” ”Planet of the Apes” and “Kung Fu Panda.” He also portrayed a handful of minor roles before “The Green Mile” brought him an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor.
