Backstage & VIP: Snow, Style, and Global Couture — DC Fashion Week’s Grand Finale Triumphs Over the Storm

A blistering snowstorm and freezing temperatures swept through Washington, DC on Sunday, February 22, 2026—but that didn’t stop fashion’s elite from showing up in full force for the 44th International Couture Collections Showcase, the grand finale of DC Fashion Week, held at the National Housing Center.

From 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, guests braved the winter weather to attend one of the capital’s most anticipated couture events. The Red Carpet opened at 5:00 PM, welcoming designers, diplomats, influencers, and media into an atmosphere of elegance and global sophistication.

Inside, the exclusive VIP Reception unfolded within the VIP Lounge presented by District Social. The curated lounge experience elevated the evening, offering an intimate setting where distinguished guests, sponsors, and designers connected in style before the runway began. The ambiance was refined, celebratory, and unmistakably high-profile—adding another layer of luxury to an already prestigious event.

At 6:00 PM, the Fashion Show commenced, with Special Guest Host Guy Lambert guiding the audience through a breathtaking international presentation.

This season’s sponsors—including Maison Perrier, Carolina Kitchen, and District Social, among many others—played an essential role in supporting the production and enhancing the overall guest experience.

A defining highlight of the evening was Corjor International—the couture house of founder and executive director Ean Williams—who once again surprised audiences with a powerful new collection. His designs showcased structured elegance, bold detailing, and masterful couture construction, reinforcing his influence not only as a producer but as a visionary designer.

From intricate embellishments to dramatic silhouettes rooted in global heritage, each collection told a compelling story. Models moved with commanding presence as applause echoed throughout the venue.
Outside, snow blanketed the city. Inside, fashion burned brighter than ever.
