In 2007 Michael signed with Ford Models, and then in 2008 he signed his first contract with Versace Pour Homme in a campaign that was photographed by Mario Testino. Gstobettner made it big on the runway that year, by walking in shows for Dolce & Gabbana, D&G, Etro, Iceberg, and Zegna shows in Milan.
