Generally, depending on what business it is, you can start it with next to nothing. You could hire yourself as an errand runner, computer consultant, dog walker, writer and much more.

If you have an artistic side and you enjoy making stuff, then making stuff and selling it is a great idea. Creating stuff, such as stuffed animals and selling it on Etsy, which is an online shop for those crafty vendors could work out for you.
