I personally would not mind if a friend of mine starts an affair with my ex as long as we have not broken up because of her, of course.

As a matter of fact, I have never experienced such situation. Not that I know of. However, I feel that most people think unlike and would not gladly share their toys even if have dumped them long ago. If it has not worked out for us, it does not necessarily mean that will not work for our friend either. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. What is your opinion?

There are other places to look for a girlfriend or boyfriend than your friend’s exes. It’s a big world out there.
I fully agree with you, Stephen.
I personally have very good friends that have not only dated, but went on to marry some of my exes. The way I see it, they are exes for a damn good reason. Most of the time it was my decision to end things, usually because I wasn’t ready to go deeper into a “committed” relationship. I have never felt a need to try and hold on to an ex.
If a friend of mine finds happiness in someone that I used to date, then I’m happy for them.
