The 38-year-old British actress reprises her role as vampire Selene in the fourth installment of the popular franchise.
“I think, like everybody, I … and [husband and director] Len [Wiseman] and most people who are sensible, have a slight allergy to the number four coming after a movie title cause it usually means it’s sh–,” Kate recently told Collider.
“[But] for us, it was really a question of, if you’re going to take these characters – and there are some people who really love them, but I understand it’s not everyone’s cup of tea – in order to make it justifiable to make a movie, you really have to do something different and take it somewhere else,” she added.
Underworld: Awakening, which was shot in 3D, hits theaters January 2012!
