Angelina Jolie has been tapped to star in the upcoming Fox 2000 film, Gucci.

Jolie will star as Patrizia Reggiano, the ex-wife of the late former Gucci head, Maurizio Gucci. Reggiano was sentenced to 29 years in prison after hiring a hit man to kill Gucci 1995.
The film will chronicle the Gucci family in their heydays in the 70’s and 80’s up until Maurizio’s tragic murder in the 90’s.
Gucci will be directed by Ridley Scott and is expected to begin production in 2010. It’s bound to be a hit especoally if the cast is clad in vintage Gucci attire.
