Search engine giant Google has debuted the ‘Chromebook’ notebooks at the Google I/O conference.

The new notebooks will run on Chrome OS. They go on sale next month starting at $350 through Amazon.com and Best Buy.
Google said the notebooks will not be like a typical computer, and will boot up almost instantly – as opposed to minutes.
The Chromebook will access your documents with the Chrome browser from a ‘cloud source’ (Flickr, Pandora, Google Docs, Gmail, YouTube, Netflix, etc.).
The new Chromebooks will be made by Acer and Samsung.
The move looks to capitalize on the notion that users want simplicity – as demonstrated by Apple’s iPad. The Chromebook is looking to capture those looking want simplicity, but also more productivity options that a keyboard offers.
